Team Update: Apprenticeship & Promotion

FDC’s team continues to expand the skills and expertise within its business, with two new announcements around career progression in the firm this month.

33AC828A-F3AA-41B9-898C-45E5531C1F64Melissa Churchill embarks on a Compliance and Risk apprenticeship

Melissa has been working in Operations Support for FDC since 2019 and recently began an 18-month apprenticeship in compliance and risk which will lead to her obtaining a qualification in Global Financial Compliance through the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment. The apprenticeship builds upon Melissa’s recent work supporting FDC Investment Director and compliance lead Jack Glonek on multiple compliance projects.

As part of the Portfolio team Kathryn works closely with investee businesses from the SME sector, supporting both regional and national firms from a wide array of industries. Her role focuses on maximising and protecting the capital value of our investments, through a range of risk monitoring and management techniques.  A promotion to Portfolio Manager effective 1st May recognises Kathryn’s growing contribution to FDC as she increases the number of portfolio clients she independently manages, as well as her work implementing and onboarding clients to a new portfolio asset management software.

Kathryn's skills and expertise are greatly bolstered by her progression towards becoming a qualified ICAEW chartered accountant, via the ACA qualification sponsored by FDC, of which she is in the final stages of completing.

FDC extends huge congratulations to both Melissa and Kathryn on their progression within the business.
